In April of 2020, the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services at the U.S. Department of Justice (COPS Office) and MovementForward, Inc.’s One Congregation One Precinct (OneCOP) initiative convened all of the nation’s leading law enforcement membership organizations to begin planning the first ever National Faith & Blue Weekend (Faith & Blue). This was the first time in history that all the major national law enforcement groups collaborated on a single community outreach project. The result was the inauguration of the largest and most collaborative community-police engagement initiative in the nation’s history in 2020.
