A weekend of events that engage the community and for the community with and by IPD Officers. From the National Coffee with a Cop day, October 5, to Friday providing food to families with the drive-thru food pantry at CSL, Community coat drive for Fairmount at Community Cafe, Disc Golf for the family at EPIC Church, prayer throughout the city at houses of worship on Sunday, and a thank you breakfast at Hyram Young HomeOwnership Center of Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity on Monday. I have worked with IPD, Chief to buld a weekend of opportunity to serve, play, pray, and thank the men and women of Independence Police Department.
